STOP SEASON | WAIT SEASON | GO SEASON

Which season are you in right now in your leadership or business journey?

Most of us will find ourselves in one the three seasons either 'Stop, Go or Wait'.

In today's blog I am going to give you an overview and some ideas about how you can maximize the season that you are in.

STOP SEASON

We can be in a Stop season either intentionally or unintentionally.

A stop season can feel like our lives have ground to a halt.

A friend of mine had come to a stop season because his marriage was going through some challenges.

The stress and strain of the breakdown meant he had to pull back for a season in other areas of his life.

Another gentleman found himself in a 'stop season' because of his own doing.

In fact it seemed to him and to others around him that his life had been in a “stop season” for a long time.

There was no longer any desire in him to develop himself as a person, to learn or to study.

He had settled for whatever life would give him and had zero desire to change.

It is important to know that 'stop season' doesn't have to be permanent.

You can get out it if you PLAN to get out of it.

If you find yourself in a STOP season and you want to get out, decide today to get some support and to start creating that plan to get you out.

You must have a PLAN. If you need help creating that plan drop me a line. I'll be happy to help. Email admin@errollawson.com.

WAIT SEASON

In a “wait season” it can feel like we are on pause.

Perhaps you have been taking action consistently towards your goals and you now recognise you need to press pause.

Pressing pause can create space for new things to emerge.

Pressing pause can create space for much needed rest.

Pressing pause can allow time and space for our results to catch up with us or time to reflect.

The wait season is a good season to be in.

A common mistake to avoid is confusing “wait” with “stop”.

Doing so can mean you get stuck in a rut.

A second mistake to avoid is rushing out of the wait season too soon.

As a Christian I like to spend time “resting and waiting on God'”.

Rushing out of the wait season. can be like taking roast turkey out of the oven too soon when it is half cooked.

We have to let it cook all the way through.

GO SEASON

If you are in the GO season, ideally you're in the mindset and mode of making every day count.

Go season is a window of opportunity.

Imagine that sprinter in the last leg of the 100m relay.

He waits patiently for the batton, stays in his lane and then as soon as it reaches him, he is off!

It's time for action.

Every moment counts.

Maximise this season by being disciplined and organised.

Be really clear about what the key actions are that will move you towards your goals and do them.

Don't waste time on the non essential things, instead focus on the non negotiables and everything else will fall in place.

You can do this!
